Circle8
The Future of Pensions Act (Wtp) forced Dutch pension providers into major IT transformations, data migrations and process changes under high time pressure. Circle8, a specialist in hiring (IT) talent, worked with Business Models Inc. to develop and validate a new proposition to support pension providers with the right people and capabilities during the transition.

The challenge
The Wtp created peak pressure at pension providers: daily operations had to continue while transition projects with tight deadlines demanded scarce specialists combining IT and pension expertise. The central question for Circle8 was how to translate this capacity need into a concrete proposition aligned with its added value.
Our approach
Using design thinking and lean startup principles, BMI guided Circle8 through a systematic process of three sprints with co-creation and validation as the common thread: market validation to confirm demand among pension providers, feasibility to determine whether Circle8 could deliver added value in capacity, and a business case to prove the proposition is profitable for all parties.
The results
- A new proposition, fully developed, tested and ready for launch.
- Strategic market position as first player in a niche with high demand for hybrid IT-pension specialists.
- A proven, repeatable framework that allows Circle8 to develop and validate future opportunities faster.
The method stayed with the team. It always does.
